Position: Information Security Officer
Job Purpose
The Information Security Officer is responsible for maintain KAA’s ICT security programs. The ISO will focus on the sustainability of the program - improvements, compliance, IT risk, incident management, implementation and continuity of security operations.
Main Responsibilities
• Managing processes that ensure that appropriate security controls are in existence and in force.
• Providing ongoing oversight of security processes.
• Ensuring the overall integrity and effectiveness of the Information Security Program.
• Ensure that information security technology and techniques are applied appropriately to effectively protect information resources.
• Risk Assessment coordination.
• Security Event Monitoring.
• Security Exception Approvals tracking and recertification.
• Security Incident Response and Reporting.
• Works with business unit management to ensure that resource owner responsibilities are accepted and appropriately performed.
• Establish policies and procedures for internal Security processes of the Security Administration team.
• Helps evaluate, select, install, and configure hardware and software systems that provide appropriate security functions.
• Advises on normal and exception processing of security authorization requests.
• Documents security policies; maintains resource classification scheme; and presents information on security status, project status, and security.
• Ensures the effective implementation and maintenance of KAA Quality Management System.
• Any other duties as assigned from time to time
Qualifications and Experience:
1. University degree in IT or related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of information systems experience.
3. Minimum of 1 years Information Security.
4. Preferred certifications: CCNA, CISSP, or similar certifications.
5. Experience with Cisco and/or Checkpoint environment is preferred.
6. Should have worked in a busy commercial IT environment.
7. Should be highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail with strong interpersonal and relationship-building-skills.
